** On Wings to the Stars

** On Wings to the Stars

Illustrated by Sarah Horne

Eliza’s world is falling apart and her mental health is suffering when her great-grandmother gives her a journal. It is full of stories of life on Malta in WWII and Ganny claims she wrote it whilst listening to her brother talk about his days in the RAF.

But Ganny’s brother died in 1942 and ghosts just don’t come back to tell us stories… do they?

This story was inspired by a photo of my grandmother and her brother, who died in his Wellington bomber off the coast of Malta.

After a lot of research and marvelling at the courage of the people of Malta, the most bombed place of WW2, this book was born.

A beautiful story that will warm your heart whilst sometimes breaking it.
