TOO MUCH FOR DUCK and THE WET DAY Illustrated by Camilla Frescura

Poor duck finds his crowded pond just too much to cope with, until he makes friends with a kind fish. Duck and Fish enjoy playing together, even when the rain tries very hard to stop them.

Stories are simple but kept fun, humorous and familiar.

Approximately 60-90 words per story with two stories per book.
There is an information page before the start of each story.

THE NOT-A-TROLL Illustrated by Marina Perez Luque

One day, Henry McEndry thinks he meets a troll called Bobbo at the end of his garden, but Bobbo is very insistent he is NOT a troll. When Henry takes him back to meet the family, what will they get up to?

Reading level description - Plots are still mostly simple , without subplots, but there is more variation in speech 
and a greater range of sentence structures and lengths than at previous levels.

Reading level description - Stories start to get longer as children become more confident, however plots and characters are still mostly clear and straightforward to follow. Word choices are still within children's passive vocabulary.

Approximately 1000-1300 words per story

NOWHERE LANE Illustrated by Xareni Ramirez

Nobody can solve the mystery of Nowhere Lane. No matter how far anyone walks down it, the road just loops back to the begninng. When Dexter accidentally takes a map of the lane belonging to grumpy Mr Crabtree, his whole world turns upside down. Does Nowhere Lane lead somewhere after all?

Reading level description -  CHAPTER READER - acts as a bridge between the later band early readers and junior fiction, to make that step into independent reading that much easier.
